Clean, Simple, Contrast

Hey guys! Exciting news…I am designing an office space for a music tour/band!! I am so thankful for the opportunity and I am beyond thrilled to take on this project! I will post before, in the process, and after pictures of the space as things are happening. The ball is starting to roll and I cannot wait to see my vision come to life!

For now, I want to share some inspiration photos with you.

Clean, simple, contrast describes the look I want to create in the office!

By now, you probably have a pretty good idea of what vibe I am trying to create…can’t wait to share the whole process with you!

Spring Updates

It’s that time of year when I’m in the Spring cleaning/decorating mode, and although I love cleaning out closets and organizing; nothing quite compares to redecorating spaces in my home. Even the smallest change in a room like a new candle, pillow, or frame makes me happy, happy, happy 🙂

The subject: Living room(specifically top of bookcases)

I will always love this clock! I remember buying it from Target when Stephen and I were engaged. I felt so excited that I was buying something for OUR home together! This clock will always make me smile and I may use it again one day, but for now its time has run out(get it..time has run out and its a clock…haha). As far as the other decorative objects on the shelves, like the framed burlap, candlesticks, and baskets, I have no problem with them, I just want to freshen up the room. One of the joys of decorating is making those small changes that give a room a new look.

Three changes in our living room:

-Framed art I gave Stephen for his birthday back in January(that I just got framed and its April…oops)

-Izzy the Rhino(Stephen named him that ha)

-Painting the baskets I already owned

Remember when I said in my last post that I finally splurged and bought a white animal head…well say good bye to the clock and hello to Izzy the Rhino!

I love this print from Blacklist studio in Australia. I’ll definitely be ordering some more art from them.

A little white paint and these baskets have a fresh, new look.

These little changes have really given our living room a fresh vibe, and I am very happy with it!

Anyone else Spring cleaning/decorating?

White Ceramic Animals

I’ve been traveling on a tour since November and it has finally come to an end! It was a wonderful tour…met some amazing people that are now my good friends, visited 57 different U.S. cities, and saw countless people make decisions for the Lord. The tour was incredible, but I am SO happy about the fact that I will be home for longer than 3 day intervals, the weather is FINALLY getting warmer, and some home projects are calling my name! Hopefully, I will be back to posting more regularly, but I do have several beach trips coming up where I plan to do nothing but lay on a chair for days 🙂

Anyways…today I want to talk about my love of white ceramic animal heads!! I don’t know what it is, but anytime I see a white animal head or even figurine I am immediately drawn towards might be surprised that I have never actually purchased one though. Despite my love for them, I just have never bitten the bullet and bought one because they are always a little too pricey for what I want to spend.

Here’s a few inspiration photos of these white ceramic beauties!

Aren’t they just lovely? They can stand alone, be mixed in on a gallery wall with other pieces, be grouped with other white ceramic creatures…they just look great however you choose to use them. I am excited because I finally bit the bullet and bought an animal head of my own! Yayyy!

Stay tuned to see which white ceramic creature is now gracing us with their presence in our living room! 🙂
