It’s time for my final house crash of the month and this house is absolutely gorgeous! My sister in laws friend, Jodi, who is now my friend too 😉 has quite the eye for design and decorating! She took a rundown home and turned it into something amazing!!
Here is the beautiful home! I wish I had a before picture to show you, but imagine just the A-frame in an ugly shade of brown that could be demolished. Jodi completely transformed it into this beauty!
The first time I walked into this house I’m pretty sure my jaw was dropped the whole time! I mean, the curb appeal is already off the charts and the inside is just as amazing!
The kitchen is beautiful! Its open to the kitchen eat in area and one of the living spaces. Jodi paid attention to every detail in her home! Not a single nook is untouched!
She has a great eye for lighting! Every fixture in her house is beautiful! I love this one over the kitchen sink!
The kitchen opens right up to the living room

The amazing living room! Now you can see why Jodi saw the potential for this A frame!! Gorgeous!

Head upstairs and you are greeted with a little nook, the master straight ahead, and the boys room to the right
View standing in the master looking at the master bathroom! Beautiful!
Now lets take a peek into the coolest boys room ever!
The boys cute bathroom!
Their outdoor space is just as fabulous too!
It’s such a beautiful, welcoming, and cozy home! Thanks Jodi for letting me stop by and share your talent! 🙂
Our next venture in our travels from San Francisco was the gorgeous drive down the Pacific Coast Hwy to LA. We left San Francisco around 10 am and got to LA at about 8:30 pm…so it was an all day drive, but so worth it!
I knew right away it was going to be a beautiful drive along the coast!
We made several stops on our drive and the views kept getting prettier and prettier!
This is a famous bridge at Big Sur. It was breathtaking!!
On top of the world! 🙂
We came upon Piedras Blancas Beach where elephant seals pack the beach in the winter months! It was so cool to see hundreds of seals just laying on the beach!
I caught one yawning 😉
We finally made it to LA around 8:30 pm, ate dinner in Santa Monica, and stayed at a hotel off of Sunset Blvd. The next morning, we were up early ready to see all Hollywood had to offer. We drove through the Hollywood Hills, caught a great view of the skyline, and saw the famous Capitol Records building.
Then, we were on a hunt for the best view of the Hollywood sign and we found it at Griffith Observatory. It was a hiking park and trail that went right by the Hollywood sign, it was pretty cool! We didn’t have time to hike all the way up and weren’t really wearing appropriate hiking clothes, but we got some great shots of the Hollywood sign!
I was just a little excited! Haha
We had a fun and full day driving all around LA. We went to Beverly Hills, walked around Rodeo Dr, stopped by the DASH store(yes, I watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians…don’t judge me haha), went back to Santa Monica, drove the coast to Malibu, and stopped in Calabassas in hopes of a Kardashian sighting…no luck though!
We had an absolute blast driving all around California! It was off to a few show days from there and then back to more exploring! Our next adventure was in Moab, Utah! Stay tuned!
It’s time for another House Crash!
Today, I am excited for you to meet Jeremy and Chandler! They are a sweet couple who live in Nashville, TN that I had the privilege of meeting over the summer at a mutual friends wedding! Chandler and I hit it off right away; we both share a passion for interior decorating and making a home feel beautiful! She also has a blog and was one of the people that inspired me to start this blog.
Here is the happy couple in front of their 1959 brick ranch!
So, let’s start the tour! When you walk in the front door you walk right into their cozy living room which opens up to the dining/kitchen area. Chandler is a very creative DIYer so many of the pieces you will see throughout this tour have been repurposed and look amazing!
This is the view standing from the other side of the living room! I love the white dresser that she is using as a tv stand, which is one of the pieces she repurposed, and the gallery wall is lovely.
Lets take a peek into the kitchen. The banquette was built by her handy husband Jeremy which turned out wonderfully; it provides more seating and great storage! Don’t you just love the white plates on the wall?
Just through the kitchen is their office! Many of the pieces in here Chandler found at flea markets, Craiglist and other bargain places! She really knows how to make a space look great without spending a ton of money! Doesn’t this room make you want to cozy up with some hot tea/coffee and read a book?
Walk through the office and you come to this beautifully stenciled hallway. Chandler stenciled this hallway by herself! Amazing, right? And there she is in all of her bridal glory 🙂
There’s a cute little bathroom on the left of the hall.
There is a room on the right of the hall which Chandler calls “her room” because it where she plays music, writes, and gets ready in the morning.
And their bedroom is at the back of the hall! She still has plans for this room so per Chandler, “It’s not done yet, but still a work in progress.” 🙂
So that is their sweet home! So glad they let me stop by and snap some pictures!!
Stay tuned for another House Crash next Thursday!
I’m traveling the whole month of November on the West Coast! I have been traveling for a week so far and seen some incredible and beautiful places! I won’t be able to share much in the decor topic this month, so I thought I’d share some photos of our traveling experiences with you along the way.
Stephen and I had both been to California about 10 years ago, but we had never been together. We were excited to go back to the beautiful state and explore it together. We flew in to San Francisco and had about 21 hours to see anything and everything that San Fran had to offer.
First, we took a ride on the trolley from Union Square, where our hotel was located, to Fisherman’s Wharf. It was so fun and I kept singing that song from ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’…Clang, clang, clang went the trolley…ha, I felt like Judy Garland! Anyways, it was a blast and we got to see a lot of the city on the trolley ride.
By the time we got off the trolley, we were starving so we made our way to the famous Buena Vista Cafe.
From there, we walked, walked, and walked some more exploring the streets of San Francisco. I think I squealed with excitement the first time I spotted the Golden Gate Bridge!
We heard an interesting noise as we were walking the pier and came upon a mass of seals. Haha. It was pretty cool!
After our seal sighting we walked for 3 hours up and down the STEEP hills of San Fran.
Stephen at the top of the famous Lumbard St.
The sun was starting to set and we were still walking trying to find our way back to our hotel…eventually we gave up and took a cab the rest of the way 🙂 We went to eat dinner at a delicious place called Flour + Water, but that was the extent of our night because we were so tired from waking up early, traveling all day and the time difference.
The next morning, we were up at 6:00 without an alarm which if you know me or Stephen at all, you know that is extremely rare…but it was really 9 on our bodies ;). We knew we wanted to get a closer look of the Golden Gate Bridge, but weren’t sure where the best view would be. We started driving and ended up finding a GORGEOUS viewing area! I felt like I was standing inside a postcard!
There was no one around to ask to take a picture of us together, so this is all we could come up with…I still think it turned out pretty cute 🙂
It was one of my favorite things I’ve ever done to date! Beautiful weather, perfect view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and my love beside me…doesn’t get much better than that! Stay tuned for our next adventure of driving the Pacific Coast Hwy all the way to LA.
Get ready for my second House Crash tomorrow!
Welcome everybody to my first House Crash!
Today, I’m excited for you to meet The Cameron’s! No, that’s not their last name…they are husband and wife and they are both named Cameron…yep, BOTH named Cameron! Haha. Boy Cameron has been our friend a LONG time and Girl Cameron quickly won us over! They are a fun, hilarious and sweet couple, and I’m so happy they let me use them as my house crashing guinea pigs 🙂
Here they are…The Camerons! They live in East Nashville in this adorable craftsman style house!
Let’s take a look inside. Shall we? Their house has so many beautiful details and you will see that throughout the tour! Their house is a mixture of antique, rustic, and traditional.
Here is the entryway.
To your right, when you walk in, is the dining room.
Now, lets take a peek into the kitchen. It’s a beautiful, open kitchen! I love the bar stools!
The living room…I love all of the textures and colors in their living room! It’s very cozy and welcoming!
Let’s get a few detailed shots in here because there are so many great pieces to see.
This is the hallway. Let’s take a peek into some rooms…The first door on the left is the office, the second door on the left is the guest bathroom, and the third door on the left is the guest bedroom.
First, we will take a look at the master bedroom which is the only door on the right!
Next, the office!
Detail shot of my favorite thing in the office…the horse head bookend!
Last, but not least, the guest bedroom.
So that is their beautiful home! Hope you enjoyed it! It is one of our most frequent stops in Nashville. I love that they are always willing to have people over for parties or just for fun. They have a perfect house/backyard for summer bbq’s and cornhole games!
Stay tuned for another House Crash next Thursday!
Ok guys…here is my first house tour video! I want to give a big THANK YOU to Austin for shooting, editing, and dealing with me to make this video 🙂
So before you view this video I should warn you of a few things:
1. My voice is pretty high pitch
2. I say, “I LOVE..” about a million times
3. I pronounce certain words like I’m Sean Connery
Haha! Anyways…I hope you like it!
You can see photos of each room over in my House Tour category! Thanks for watching!
Welcome to Day 5 and the final day of ‘House Tour’.
The last room to share with you is the master bedroom. By now, you should be able to tell that I like decorating with whites. Layering whites is beautiful, luxurious, and romantic, and that is how I wanted our bedroom to feel! The only thing in our bedroom that we’ve had since we first got married is the bedding, everything else we bought within the last year. We had dark bedroom furniture from IKEA, but sold it and started buying pieces from antique stores to get the light and bright look we really wanted.
Where’s it from?
Duvet and quilt: Pottery Barn
White pillows: Interior decorating store in dtn Franklin
Lamps: Base-Pier 1, Shade-Ballard Designs
Nightstands: Antique store
Framed art: Antique store
Ivory candles: IKEA
Mercury votives: Pier 1
Dresser: Antique store
Curtains: Pottery Barn
That’s it everybody, ‘House Tour” in picture form is officially over! Thanks for checking it out!
Stay tuned for my House Tour Video coming tomorrow…
