The bus is finally finished!!! Yep…finito, done, complete! It has been a long process, but I am so happy with the way everything turned out.
This bus is occupied by 12 men at all times so I had to design accordingly. My thought process for the design was the feel of a luxury hotel that is neither masculine nor feminine, but nice, clean, simple and luxurious. I chose the dark wood finish first then the leather, flooring, fabrics, etc.
Have a look at the finished product!
This is the front lounge.
The view you get right when you walk on the bus.
Detailed shot of the only patterned fabric I chose and one of my favorite things on the bus…the sconces from Restoration Hardware complete with Edison bulbs.
I love the gray barnwood-esque floors against the camel leather couches, chocolate brown walls, and amazingly soft fur pillow!
The kitchen area is definitely one of my favorite parts of the bus. You can never go wrong with white subway tile and charcoal gray grout 🙂
The bunk area was hard to photograph because there is no natural light, but here it is. I chose a gray check sheet with a soft, navy blue pintuck comforter. Ignore the creases in the sheets 🙂
The back lounge:
The shower: Once again I chose subway tile, because its my favorite, with a hexagon carrera marble floor.
Well, that sums up the bus tour. I hope you liked it! I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to do this project and can’t wait for what’s next 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
Go round and round…I’m excited to share with you guys that I have had the privilege of designing/decorating Newsong’s brand new tour bus!
I was very flattered/intimidated to be asked to take on such a big job! I’ve clearly never done a tour bus before so I was definitely a little nervous, but it’s like a home on wheels so I just pretended like I was decorating a house 🙂 I’ve had a lot of fun throughout the whole process and seen just how much work goes into building tour buses. I picked everything from the wood finish on all the walls, to the floors, to the leather for the couches, the fabric for window valances and bunk curtains, sconces, countertops, backsplash…you get the picture…I had to pick everything! I’m excited because the bus will be done soon and I can’t wait to see how everything comes together!
For now, I’ll share some pictures of the bus the first time I saw it; the bunk area was already built out and some of the wood paneling was in.
Hopefully very soon I will have ‘After’ pictures to share with you!! Hey, maybe after this I’ll be an interior designer for tour buses 😉
It’s my favorite time of year…Christmas time!!! I just love everything about it; the trees, lights, stockings, hot coca, buying gifts for the ones you love, and celebrating the birth of our Savior! I always love decorating my apartment for the seasons and Christmas is by far my favorite. I got married 3 years ago in August of 2010 and had zero Christmas decor to my name. I went to an outlet mall with my mom, stumbled upon some great things at the Pottery Barn outlet and have been using them in my Christmas decor ever since! So my decor is a mix of PB outlet, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and some other random places.
Welcome to my Christmas apartment!(Sorry for the poor quality iphone pics…in need of a new camera, so my iPhone has to do the job for now)
For the table centerpiece , I used my milk glass cake plate and candlesticks I already had. I found the gold&burlap runner for only $10 from TJ Maxx and to add the last touch of Christmas, I cut some branches off of our tree and voila the table was festive! Easy, cheap and fun to put together!
For the dinette, I wanted to incorporate my milk glass collection so I placed a wreath behind it, more tree clippings, silver deer candlesticks and red berries.
And here’s one more view of the living room!
So that is our Christmas apartment! It’s so cozy and festive in here that I wish I could leave it up all year!
Have you been doing any Christmas decorating? Have all your shopping done yet? Me either 🙂
The last venture I want to share with you from our travels is our experience in Moab, Utah! We got to see some famous sites and go off roading through canyons! It was so amazing, beautiful, fun, scary, and thrilling! We ate breakfast at a little diner, rented a Jeep, and headed towards the canyons!
First, we went to the famous Balancing Rock.
Kissing on top of the rock! MUAH
Then, we made our way to the famous “Window Arches”. The views driving there were absolutely beautiful!
Stephen trying to climb as high as possible!
After doing a little sightseeing, we made our way to the off roading trails! I had no idea what was in store…let’s just say it was an incredible experience, but definitely thought I was going to die at certain points haha! We started at the bottom of the canyon land and made our way all the way to the top!
God’s creation truly is indescribable!
It was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience!
We saw and did many things, but this was definitely at the top of the list of favorite things!
Thanks for stopping by! Christmas decorating posts coming your way soon! Yay! It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
